Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor- Environmental Engineering and Science

Location: Research Park/342 Computer Ct

The Department of Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences (EEES) invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track position in environmental engineering and science. A fall 2017 appointment is anticipated at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. The successful candidate will have an earned PhD in Environmental Engineering or a closely related discipline. Professional licensure or the ability to obtain a PE is desirable. Expertise is sought in the general area of air quality or climate science. Specific areas of interest are air pollution engineering, such as process engineering and modeling for the control of emission sources; climate change measurement and modeling; local, regional, and global impacts of climate change; air quality impacts on human health; emerging concerns in indoor air quality; deployable sensors for pollutant detection; sustainability aspects of air quality engineering; and environmental nanoscience. Interdisciplinary topics are also encouraged, such as air quality engineering coupled with considerations of energy, food production, or automotive engineering. The successful candidate is expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. Development of new courses in the candidate's specialty area will be encouraged. The candidate will advise MS and PhD students and develop a high-quality, sponsored research program. Opportunities exist for collaboration within EEES, as well as with other colleagues in the College of Engineering, Computing, and Applied Sciences, the College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Life Sciences, the Department of Physics and Astronomy, and the International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR). Research activities that exploit Clemson's Palmetto Cluster and other supercomputing resources are also encouraged.

QUALIFICATIONS
