Environmental Engineering PhD Fellowships
The Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at Marquette University (Milwaukee, WI) invites applications for environmental engineering PhD Fellowships. The successful candidates will join research teams in one of three areas. Applicants with an MS in an engineering discipline are preferred, but strong applicants with BS degrees will be considered. Fellowships come with a competitive stipend and are intended to begin August 2017, although earlier start dates are an option. Interested applicants must apply to the Marquette University Graduate School (https://marquette-grad.edu.185r.net/application/login/) before Dec 15, 2016 and select “Civil Engineering” as the program of interest. Applicants should contact one of three faculty based on their research interests:
(1) optimization of microbial communities in anaerobic bioprocesses for sustainable, net energy positive water recovery (contact Dr. Daniel Zitomer, firstname.lastname@example.org),
(2) pathogen mitigation, advanced oxidation processes, and nutrient recovery (contact Dr. Brooke Mayer, email@example.com),
(3) antibiotic resistance, micropollutants, and their impacts on microbial ecology (contact Dr. Patrick McNamara, firstname.lastname@example.org).
