Job Description: 

The Department of Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences at Clemson University seeks applications from qualified students for pursuit of a PhD in Environmental Engineering and Science, starting Fall 2017. The student will conduct research in the lab of Dr. Ezra Cates. Numerous possibilities for research topics exist, including UVC-emitting materials development for membrane biofouling control, elucidation of radiocatalyst design principles, and development of new reactor concepts and systems for photocatalytic advanced oxidation. Desired applicants must have a degree or research experience in a chemistry-related discipline. Bachelor’s graduates of chemistry and materials science programs who are interested in environmental technology are especially encouraged to apply.

Prospective students should send a C.V. and statement of interest to Dr. Ezra Cates. The statement should include an explanation of why you wish to pursue a Ph.D. in environmental engineering.  Review of applications will begin in December.
