 Environmental Engineering Faculty Search 2016-2017

     The Case Western Reserve University Department of Civil Engineering is inviting applicants for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position in Environmental Engineering. It is expected that the position will be filled at the rank of Associate Professor. Candidates must hold B.S. and Ph.D. (or D.Eng.) degrees in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a closely-related field, must have a strong record of externally funded research and publication, and experience teaching Environmental Engineering topics. Candidates should also have or be qualified to obtain a professional engineer license.

     The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, participate in service activities, continue a funded research program, and provide leadership to the Environmental Engineering program. The Department is seeking candidates with expertise in one of the venerable specialties of Environmental Engineering (water/wastewater treatment, solid and hazardous waste, environmental chemistry, remediation) plus interest in developing areas such as environmental hydrology, alternative energy sources, smart infrastructure, sustainability, or emerging pollutants.  Experience with laboratory development is also desirable.
