The Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at Marquette University invites Masters and PhD applicants to join a project recently funded to develop optimal sensing and real-time control algorithms for stormwater management infrastructure. The project is funded through the NSF Water Equipment and Policy Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (I/UCRC) located in Milwaukee, WI and presents a unique opportunity to collaborate with academic, water industry, and utility partners.
We are seeking highly motivated individuals with the ability to work across disciplinary and institutional boundaries. In addition, the successful candidate will have (1) a Bachelors or Masters degree in civil and environmental engineering or related field; and (2) background in mathematical or numerical modeling. Strong consideration will be given to candidates with demonstrated background in hydrologic or hydraulic modeling, programming experience, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
