The College of Engineering at the University of Rhode Island is undergoing a major facility overhaul with a new $125M engineering building currently under design and scheduled to open in 2019. There is a unique opportunity to develop state-of-the-art environmental engineering laboratories advancing the future of engineering education and research and the Rhode Island economy. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Rhode Island invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the assistant professor level in environmental engineering with concentration in the area of physico-chemical and/or separations processes. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental engineering and/or engineering related disciplines with research interests in physico-chemical and/or separation processes related to the themes of one-water technologies, water energy-nexus and other innovative water treatment technologies. The anticipated start for the position is August 2017.
Develop undergraduate and graduate courses in environmental engineering. Develop and externally funded research program. Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
