Job Description: 

The Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of California - Riverside, is seeking a postdoctoral scholar in the area of nanotechnology in agriculture. The researcher will work on a funded project that requires the synthesis, modification, and characterization of inorganic nanoparticles that will be used as anti-microbial agents in agricultural applications. The project is in collaboration with scientists from the Plant Pathology Department at UC Riverside. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. In addition, a strong track-record in nanoparticle synthesis and characterization is required, including a proven publication record on this topic in leading peer-reviewed journals. Experience with nanoparticle/plant systems is an advantage.
