A position is available for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. One focus of the positon will be the modeling the adoption of solar panels, and their sustainability implications. Other sustainability research will also be conducted.

Candidates must have: a PhD in a relevant field, such as environmental or chemical engineering, although other fields will be considered. Experience related to at least one of the following areas is desired: industrial ecology, life cycle assessment, material flow analysis, or agent based modeling. The successful individual will need to learn how to build agent based models (if he or she does not already possess the skill) during the course of the work. Good writing skills are also critical, as manuscript preparation based on the research conducted in also expected. The appointment is for one year, and has the potential for renewal based on performance and funding availability. The salary and benefits offered are competitive.
