Dr. Sang-Hyoun Kim's group in Daegu University, South Korea, invites applications for Ph.D. and M.S. students in Environmental Engineering, with a particular emphasis in anaerobic digestion of solid waste and wastewater and biohydrogen production from renewable resources.
Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) is a premier opportunity for international students who want to graduate study in Korea. Doctoral degree program is supported for 4 yr consisting of 1 yr Korean language course plus 3 yr academic course, while master's degree program is 3 yr (1 yr Korean language course plus 2 yr academic course). The GKS program offers excellent benefits including GKS stipend ($900/month), airfare, full tuition waiver for both language and academic courses, and other financial support (~$2,500).
Daegu University is the host university of the program which can recommend five qualified applicants to the second round of the evaluation process. Dr. Kim's research group already got a Philippine student in 2013 GKS program and an Uganda student in 2015 GKS program. You may find detailed information for KGSP and Dr. Kim's group on https://sites.google.com/site/energyreuselab/home.
