The Departments of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University is seeking a post-doctoral researcher in a multi-disciplinary team focused on developing novel ceramic membranes with built-in anti-fouling capability. The research will involve synthesis, characterization, analysis, and fouling of inorganic multi-layer structures with built-in anti-fouling capability. The post-doctoral researcher will be expected to work under the supervision of Drs. Linda Weavers (email@example.com) and Henk Verweij (firstname.lastname@example.org) and be a link between the research groups and activities.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline. Experience in membrane fouling, materials synthesis and characterization is preferred. Evidence of strong communication skills through peer-reviewed publications and oral presentations is expected. Prior work with managing and interacting in collaborative teams is desired.
The position will be full-time for one year with the possibility for a one-year extension subject to availability of funds and satisfactory performance. The position includes a competitive salary and benefits. The position is available starting June 1, 2017.
