Dr. Peng Yi from Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatics Engineering at Florida Atlantic University is seeking graduate students at M.S. level. The graduate research will be in one of the three areas: Environmental Nanotechnology, Nano-Bio Interactions, and Renewable Energy. The graduate student will be offered research assistantship which covers stipend and full tuition. The prospective student is expected to start from Fall 2017 or Spring 2018.
The candidate should have degree(s) in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, material engineering, mechanical engineering, or other closely related engineering or science programs. The candidate’s research experience and publications will be highly appreciated during review process. The grade point average (GPA) of the applicant should be higher than 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores should meet the requirements: Verbal = 145 or higher; Quantitative = 150 or higher; Analytical Writing = 3.5 or higher. International students who are not from English-speaking countries must submit the results of English proficiency test. As a guideline, the score of TOEFL should be higher than 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), or 80 (internet-based).
