Job Description: 

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar position.  The successful candidate will join a team of faculty at UNL and researchers at the U.S. Department of Agriculture to develop cost-effective strategies to mitigate antibiotic resistance in agriculture impacted environments.  The research will involve livestock waste management, microbial ecology, and microbial risk assessment.

Applicants should have a doctoral degree in environmental engineering, environmental microbiology, agricultural engineering, or a related field of study.  Candidates must have research experience in microbiology and molecular biology.  Experience with next generation sequencing and quantitative PCR is particularly preferable.  The ideal candidate will also have research experience in livestock waste management as well as pilot- and field-scale testing.  Prior experience working in collaborative teams is desired.
