AEESP Establishes the Environmental Science and Policy Advisory Committee

Tuesday, November 28, 2017

AEESP has created a new ad-hoc committee, the Environmental Science and Policy Advisory Committee (ESPAC), to provide unbiased reviews of the science supportingselected planned regulatory actions under consideration by the EPA.  The committee will also assess the appropriateness and scientific soundness of the conclusions presented in the EPA reports. The ESPAC will operate in a manner similar to that of the EPA’s Charter Science Advisory Board (SAB) and the EPA SAB sub-committees. ESPAC will report its findings in writing and during the public comment period of the official US EPA SAB evaluation process. When possible, a representative from ESPAC will attend any planned teleconference or face-to-face meetings where public comments can be articulated to the EPA.

Stay tuned for more information on the AEESP Policy Advisory Committee.
