Wastewater Based Surveillance

A postdoctoral scholar is sought to support the National Science Foundation funded Research Coordination Network on wastewater surveillance for SARS-CoV-2 and emerging pathogens. The successful candidate will direct network activities, including seminars, workshops, directing a crowd-sourced Wiki, leading educational ‘bootcamp’ activities, and an annual RCN meeting. The role may also have the collaborative opportunity to contribute to other related research projects.

Postdoc in environmental engineering (water reuse)

The Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at Iowa State University is seeking candidates for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in Environmental Engineering. The postdoc researcher will work primarily with Dr. Kaoru Ikuma on a >$3M EPA-funded research project on accelerating water reuse in small communities with a focus on water security and justice.

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in engineering, mathematics, statistics, computational biology, or computer science, and demonstrate experience with mathematical modeling (preferably both statistical and physical modeling).
