Post-Doc

Environmental engineering

A full-time post-doctoral position is available at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at the University of Washington (UW) with Professor Gregory Korshin as the advisor to the Postdoctoral Scholar. CEE is seeking a post-doctoral candidate with a strong background in environmental chemistry, environmental engineering, and water treatment. The successful candidate will investigate the removal of heavy metals and related contaminants from landfill leachate and other complex water matrixes.

Hydrologic and water quality modeling

A Research Associate or Postdoctoral Researcher position in hydrologic and water quality modeling at University at Albany, State University of New York

Institution: University at Albany, State University of New York

College: Engineering and Applied Sciences

Department: Environmental and Sustainable Engineering

Location: Albany, New York

About University at Albany:

Contaminant Fate and Transport

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a postdoctoral research associate with a background in environmental organic chemistry to conduct a study of neonicotinoid insecticide and fungicide fate in soil, surface water and groundwater. Research will involve field studies to characterize the fate of these compounds in a rural community where treated seed products were used for ethanol production.

Wastewater Process Modeling

The Department of Civil Engineering at The City College of New York (CCNY) of The City University of New York (CUNY) is seeking a post-doctoral candidate with a strong background in water resource recovery process engineering and modeling. The successful candidate will investigate nitrous oxide emissions from municipal water resource recovery facilities and explore potential mitigation strategies.  The position will focus on full plant modeling using commercial process simulators including aeration system modeling and biological nitrogen removal processes. Applicants must hold a Ph.D.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Phosphorus Transport in Urban Watersheds

The RESTORE Research Group in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Western University is seeking a post-doctoral research fellow to conduct research on identifying phosphorus sources in urban watersheds and evaluating the impact of stormwater management practices including low impact development (LID) systems on non-point source phosphorus loads.  The postdoctoral research fellow will conduct detailed field monitoring in a target urban watershed and use appropriate modeling techniques (e.g., US EPA SWMM or other suitable watershed/water quality model) to simulate phospho
