Visiting Assistant Professor of Environmental Engineering

Search Status: Review of applications will begin June 1, 2017 and continue until the position is filled.

The rapidly growing Environmental Engineering program at Saint Francis University seeks applicants for a one-year visiting professor position starting August 2017.  Candidates must have earned a doctoral degree at the time of appointment or have a master’s degree with significant professional experience in Civil, Environmental, or Ecological Engineering or a closely related engineering field.  Candidates with experience across the field of Environmental Engineering will be considered.

Duties would be primarily focused upon teaching a range of courses for Environmental Engineering majors.  The successful candidate must have the ability to provide outstanding classroom and/or laboratory instruction for Environmental Engineering and introductory engineering courses.  The Environmental Engineering program at Saint Francis University is exclusively undergraduate and has been developed with an emphasis on personalized learning/teaching experiences, impactful community service regionally and abroad, publishable undergraduate research, and real class projects throughout the curriculum.  The successful applicant would be expected to complement the existing faculty by blending research, service and/or consulting into undergraduate coursework.
