Dr. Justin Hutchison in the Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering Department (https://ceae.ku.edu, https://biocatalytics.ku.edu/), University of Kansas (KU), is recruiting two Ph.D. students to begin in Fall 2023. In particular, I am recruiting students to participate in two NSF projects. The first is the Adaptive and Resilient Infrastructure driven by Social Equity (ARISE, https://nsfepscor.ku.edu/track-1-arise/), where the student will have the opportunity to work with engineers, economists, and social scientists across Kansas institutions, including Kansas State University and Wichita State University. The second position is on an NSF CAREER project using advanced proteomic techniques to study contaminant degradation pathways.
