A postdoctoral scholar is sought to support the National Science Foundation funded Research Coordination Network on wastewater surveillance for SARS-CoV-2 and emerging pathogens. The successful candidate will direct network activities, including seminars, workshops, directing a crowd-sourced Wiki, leading student activities, and an annual RCN meeting. The role may also have the collaborative opportunity to contribute to other related research projects. The position will be through the University of Notre Dame and co-directed by project PIs Bibby (Notre Dame), Boehm (Stanford), Delgado-Vela (Duke), and Halden (Arizona State).
Applicants should have a doctoral degree in environmental engineering, public health, environmental microbiology, chemical engineering, or a related field. Candidates of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The initial appointment will be for one year, can be performed entirely remotely, and may be renewable on an annual basis, contingent on performance and availability of funds.
