Job Description:

Graduate and post-doctoral positions are available for Spring 23 and Fall 23 sessions at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.

Grad students need to apply to SD mines for admission either in the department of "Civil and Environmental Engineering" or "Chemistry, Biology, and Health Sciences".

The positions will be funded by the “DARPA BRACE” project entitled “Biofunctionalized fibers for crack repair” which will investigate “Titin fiber synthesis using protein scaffold” and “Developing switch-kill mechanisms in photosynthetic bacterium for carbon fixation”. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop his/her research ideas within project goals and will be encouraged to be actively
engaged in collaborative and multidisciplinary research works. The successful candidate will be awarded a full-time research assistantship(20 hours).

The post-doctoral position will be a full-time position for 1 year. Upon successful performance, the contract can be expanded up to 4.5 years.
