Job Description

Job Description: Two Ph.D. positions are immediately available in Dr. Yanna Liang’s lab at the University at Albany (UAlbany). The recruited Ph.D. students will work on projects related to remediation of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in the environment. Specifically, the students will be involved in phytoremediation, sorption, stabilization, and thermal degradation of PFAS.

Qualifications: The candidate must have a MS degree in Environmental Engineering, Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline, from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization. The successful applicant is expected to have experience in fundamental and applied research related to using physical, chemical, and biological processes to address remediation of emerging contaminants. Experience with LC-MS-MS, IC, and other routine analytical instrumentation is preferred.
