One post-doctoral position is available in the Department of Biology, Hong Kong Baptist University, HKSAR. The appointee is expected to work on research projects and support in developing research proposals related to microbial fermentation, advanced wastewater treatment, and resource recycling.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. (or expecting to graduate soon) in environmental engineering, microbiology, biotechnology, or equivalent, with a strong record of peer-reviewed journal publications. Hands-on experience in operating GC-TCD/FID,GC-MS, HPLC, FIR, fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometer, qPCR, and microorganism isolation is preferable. The person should also have the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with graduate students and researchers. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of 1 year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
