Postdoctoral Research in Urban Coastal Hydrology and Green Stormwater Infrastructure
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Florida International University (FIU) invites qualified candidates to apply for an immediately available full-time postdoctoral research position to work with Dr. Ali Ebrahimian in hydrology and green stormwater infrastructure systems in urban coastal areas.
Minimum requirements: a PhD in civil or environmental engineering, water resources sciences, or closely related fields, excellent technical writing skills, experience in machine learning/data sciences, and expertise in at least one of the following areas: 1) Process-based hydrologic/water quality modeling in urban watersheds; 2) Sensor-based, field monitoring of urban green stormwater infrastructure, demonstrated by journal publications.

The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. Excellent opportunities for mentoring graduate students and participating in developing interdisciplinary research grants are available.
