Job Description

Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the area of fate and transport of contaminants in porous media. The successful applicant will be engaged in research exploring fate and transport of contaminants, including agricultural contaminants, as well as micro- and nanoparticles in porous media. The successful applicant will develop mathematical models, conduct lab experiments, supervise graduate and undergraduate students, and write proposals and papers. Applicants should have a strong background in contaminant fate and transport in porous media, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a Ph.D. degree in environmental and water resources engineering, or a related field. Background on machine learning modeling is a plus.

The position is for one year, and renewable pending the performance evaluation. The position can start as early as May 1st, 2023.
