Job Description:
The Solid Liquid Innovation LAB (https://renzunzhao.weebly.com/) at North Carolina A&T State University is seeking a full-time, postdoctoral scholar with expertise and interest in emerging contaminants, environmental nitrogen cycling, and environmental informatics. The successful candidate will work on developing PFAS remediation technologies for concentrated waste streams in collaboration with funding agencies, collaborators at other institutions, and other team members.

Responsibilities:
Conduct research on emerging contaminants, environmental nitrogen cycling, and environmental informatics.
Develop and evaluate PFAS remediation technologies for concentrated waste streams.
Collaborate with funding agencies, collaborators at other institutions, and other team members.
Analyze data and prepare manuscripts for publication in scientific journals.
Present research findings at national and international conferences.
Participate in the training of graduate and undergraduate students.
Participate in lab meetings and other research-related activities.

Qualifications:
Recent Ph.D in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, agricultural engineering, biological engineering, data science, or related disciplines.
Experience with PFAS remediation technologies, regulations, analytical methodologies, etc.
Experience with solid waste management, wastewater treatment, and environmental resource recovery.
Experience with the operation and maintenance of biological wastewater treatment systems.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting skills and teamwork spirit.
Salary and Benefits:
The minimum full-time salary for a postdoc scholar is $58,000 per year, and it is negotiable based on qualification and experience. The successful candidate will also receive health insurance benefits, retirement benefits, and other fringe benefits.
