Job Description

A post-doctoral research associate position is available in the area of exposure assessment of environmental contaminants. The successful applicant will be engaged in interdisciplinary research designed to measure body burden of environmental toxicants, including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and metabolic responses to chemical exposures using high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS). The successful candidate will participate in studies that involve in sample handling and preparation, operation and maintenance of gas- and liquid chromatography mass spectrometers, data analysis, and quality assurance. In addition to interacting with academic and industry collaborators, the position provides opportunities for graduate and undergraduate student supervision, report and proposal writing, and grant administration. Candidates should possess a doctoral degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry or a related field. Experience with analytical methods, including mass spectrometry, and data processing software is required. Salary will be commensurate with experience level.
