The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Water Resources Research Center at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa invite applications for a postdoctoral researcher in environmental biotechnology. The research project is on developing novel onsite wastewater treatment process to replace cesspools in the coastal region.
Applicants need to have or are graduating soon with a Ph.D. degree in environmental engineering or related fields. Ideal candidates are expected to have expertise in environmental microbiology, bioreactor operation, water quality analysis, and preferably mathematical modeling experience.
The review process will commence immediately until the position is filled. The initial contract is one year and renewable depending on performance and availability of funding.
