Job Description

The Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at North Dakota State University is seeking 1–2 PhD students and 1 MS student, starting in Spring 2023. These students are anticipated to conduct research in the fields of (1) analysis and control of PFAS, (2) photocatalytic processes for controlling pesticides and other organic micropollutants, (3) electrified processes for water treatment, and (4) formation and decay of disinfection byproducts. The successful candidates will join the water chemistry lab under the supervision of Prof. Jiale Xu. Full support with tuition, salary, and benefits will be provided according to the policies of the Department and NDSU. Ideal candidates should have backgrounds in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, material science, agricultural engineering, or other closely related fields. Candidates with research experience in PFAS, photochemistry, electrochemistry, or disinfection byproducts are highly encouraged to apply.
