The Department of Biology at Hong Kong Baptist University is inviting applications for Ph.D. students starting in September 2024. We are seeking exceptional candidates interested in conducting cutting-edge research in environmental biotechnology, anaerobic co-digestion, microbial fermentation for new materials development, and machine learning applied to life-cycle assessment.
Applicants should hold a relevant master's degree in microbiology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, chemical engineering, or environmental science/engineering. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated track record of high-quality research publications and experience in wet-lab techniques, as well as mathematical/machine learning modeling.
