The Remucal research group at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in collaboration with Dr. Martin Shafer at the Wisconsin Laboratory of Hygiene is searching for a full-time post-doctoral scholar to join our project on the sources and fate of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in surface waters. The researcher will investigate partitioning at the air-water interface and will apply high-resolution mass spectrometry to characterize the PFAS fingerprint of unique sources with the goal of developing forensics techniques. The post-doctoral scholar will coordinate field sample collection, conduct related laboratory experiments, and be responsible for analytical measurements. They will work closely with a team of graduate students and staff researchers studying PFAS and may collaborate on other PFAS-related projects. The post-doctoral scholar will be based in the Water Science and Engineering Laboratory, which is located on the shore of Lake Mendota.
