Research Assistant (RA) Position for Project of Roadway Runoff Impacts to Trout Streams

The Department of Civil Engineering & Construction (CEC) at Georgia Southern University (GSU) invites applications for a RA Position for Project of Roadway Runoff Impacts to Trout Streams while he/she pursues his/her Master of Science in Civil Engineering (MSCE).

The ideal candidate should have a B.Sc. in Water and Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Experience in on-site sampling and testing, novel use of remotely operated and low cost water quality parameter sensors is preferred. A driver license is needed for the field work. The candidate should be a self-motivated and strongly interested in research. The selected candidate should have strong communication skills with fluency in both spoken and written English. The candidate should be an independent, a team player, and a result oriented researcher.

Interested applicants must submit cover letter, resume, and research statement. Appointment is for one year and may be renewed pending satisfactory performance and sufficient funding. The review will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
