A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately at the Water Resources Research Center, University of Hawaii at Manoa. The postdoctoral fellow will participate in multiple research projects on biodegradation and bioremediation of organic and inorganic pollutants in soil and groundwater aquifer, including petroleum hydrocarbons and heavy metals. The successful candidate is expected to have a PhD in environmental engineering, environmental science, environmental microbiology, environmental molecular biology, or other related disciplines. Self-motivation and good communication skills are required. Hands-on experiences with environmental analytical chemistry, molecular biology tools, and metagenomics/bioinformatics are beneficial.
