Dr. Sangchul Hwang at Ingram School of Engineering, Texas State University invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar position starting August 2024 or earlier. The ideal candidate must be a Ph.D. holder in Environmental Chemistry or related fields and possess strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with per-/polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) analysis.
The two major tasks of the selected candidate are to:
1) conduct lab-scale experiments related to PFAS fate, transport, and remediation; and
2) conduct PFAS analysis of field and laboratory-derived environmental and biological samples.
The ideal candidate will also need to:
1) assist in managing a research group of graduate students;
2) provide support in the preparation of grant proposals and reports; and
3) co-author articles in peer-reviewed journals.
