The United States Military Academy (USMA) invites applications for a non-tenure track, renewable position within the Department of Geography and Environmental Engineering, with a starting date as soon as the fall of 2024. Applicants must have a Doctor of Philosophy in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Geography, Climate & Environmental Security, Renewable Energy Technologies, Lifecycle Impact and/or Climate Modeling, Climate Policy, or a closely related field at the time of appointment. Outstanding applicants with core specialties in other related areas of study will also be considered. Salary is commensurate with previous experience and qualifications within the pay band advertised.
Critically important to this position is the ability and interest in researching and helping develop solutions for sustainability, climate, and/or resilience-related challenges within the U.S. Department of the Army. Teaching responsibilities will include instructing courses within the disciplines of environmental science, environmental engineering, geography, or geospatial information science. Candidates should also be able to inform curriculum development in their core specialty area.
