Join an award-winning wastewater industry leader in protecting our environment! The Metropolitan Council’s Environmental Services (ES) division operates and maintains the wastewater collection and treatment system in the Twin Cities metro area.
The Engineer (Wastewater Process/Special Studies Focus) will assist with the identification, design, and performance of targeted research studies to increase the understanding of the wastewater treatment processes and associated systems that are critical to ES operational objectives. These studies could range from addressing immediate optimization opportunities or troubleshooting challenges to developing long-term research programs to generating needed information on emerging topics. Tasks include all aspects of applied engineering research and wastewater treatment system process engineering including problem definition, experimental design, engineering analysis, full-scale testing, data gathering and analysis, and report generation.
Salary Range: $72,176.00 - $108,908.80 Annually
Minimum Requirements:
Related education and work experience in engineering research: Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years of work experience OR Master's degree and no work experience. Successful completion of the Fundamental of Engineering (FE) exam within six months of hire. A valid driver’s license is required to travel to various Council locations within the metro area.
