The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) is seeking a full-time postdoctoral researcher in environmental engineering. The postdoctoral associate will primarily participate in a research effort focusing on the development of advanced materials/adsorbents for treatment of emerging pollutants (e.g., PFAS).
Preferred candidates will have prior research experience in one or more of the following: material synthesis and chemistry, and detection and treatment of emerging pollutants. Excellence in English writing/oral communication and organization skills are required. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Chemistry, Material Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of extension, depending on performance and availability of funding. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
