Three postdoctoral research fellows are sought for the following positions in the Department of Civil Engineering and Smart Cities at Shantou University, China.
- Numerical modeling and simulation of nano bubble aeration in biological wastewater treatment processes
- Monitoring and non-destructive testing technologies for sewer pipelines
- Dissolved organic matter in aquatic systems and its contribution to global carbon cycle
The postdoctoral fellows will be exposed to a dynamic and collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering awarded no earlier than 01 June 2022, with research experience related to wastewater treatment process engineering, marine carbon cycling, etc. Expertise in microbiological techniques such as isolation and purification of microbes, extraction of DNA/RNA, metagenomic sequencing data analysis, and experience in LC-MS/MS, SEM and 3D excitation–emission matrix (EEM) fluorescence spectroscopy would be an advantage. The capacity to produce high-quality publications in a timely manner and strong English or Chinese communication skills are required.
