We are recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to support an EPA-funded project to evaluate opportunities and limitations of managed aquifer recharge across principal aquifers of the United States. This includes understanding potential excess water available for recharge, hydrogeologic suitability, and potential impacts to groundwater quality, including mobilization of naturally occurring contaminants and leaching of agrochemicals. The project leverages publicly available data sources using data analytics and modeling. The ideal candidate has a strong background in water resources and geochemistry.
The role will be based in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.
