The Fred DeMatteis School of Engineering and Applied Science at Hofstra University invites applications for an anticipated opening for an assistant/associate professor in engineering science.  Applicants should have an earned PhD in engineering or a field closely related, and be able to teach in fields related to environmental and/or chemical engineering.  The start date for this position is September 1, 2022.

The engineering programs at Hofstra are experiencing rapid growth, and the successful applicant will contribute to the further development of a top tier undergraduate educational enterprise.  Hence, candidates must be effective communicators with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, be able to initiate sustained research, especially of a type that can involve advanced undergraduates, and show initiative in seeking external funding for research.  More information about Hofstra University's Department of Engineering can be found at
