The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Waterloo is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate with a strong background in water/wastewater treatment to contribute to a project investigating the fate of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in full-scale water resource recovery facilities (WRRFs). Research will involve implementing analytical methodologies to quantify PFAS and total organic fluorine (TOF) at various locations within sewersheds and WRRFs for the purpose of estimating PFAS mass flows and fate throughout the facilities. The candidate will develop advanced fingerprinting methods for the identification of PFAS sources to sewer systems.
The postdoc will work under the supervision of Drs. Anh Pham and Wayne Parker, starting as soon as possible. To apply, please send your CV, a list of references and a cover letter to anh.pham@uwaterloo.ca.
