Job Description

The Iddya lab is actively recruiting highly motivated and creative graduate students (upto 2) for Jan 2026 in the Department of Chemical Engineering at NTU.

Research in our lab will focus on developing electrochemical and membrane-based technologies to tackle urgent challenges at the food–water–energy nexus. Candidates will engage in cutting-edge research focused on polymer chemistry, interfacial science, nanotechnology, and AI to enable advanced water treatment, sustainable energy recovery, and nutrient management.

Potential projects include but are not limited to:

  • Ion-selective membranes for resource recovery
  • Novel membrane materials for direct ocean carbon capture
  • Build digital twins to optimize membrane-based processes

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, environmental engineering or related fields.
  • Research experience in electrochemistry, membrane fabrication, ion exchange membranes, or analytical chemistry is advantageous.
  • Ability to conduct independent research and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong scientific writing and communication skills.
