Job Description

The Department of Civil Engineering & Construction (CEC) at Georgia Southern University (GSU) invites applications for a GA Position for Project of Highway Stormwater Treatment and Management, Green Infrastructure with Biochar or other areas in Water and Environment while he/she pursues his/her degree of Master of Science in Civil Engineering (MSCE).

The ideal candidate should have a Degree of B.Sc. in Water and Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. The selected candidate will conduct research in one of the above mentioned projects including Field Work, Lab Work, and Application of Water Quality Models.

A driver's license in USA is needed for a fieldwork. The candidate should be a self-motivated and strongly interested in research. The selected candidate should have strong communication skills with fluency in both spoken and written English. The candidate should be independent, a team player, and a result oriented researcher.

Interested applicants must submit cover letter, resume, and research statement. Appointment is for one year from Fall 2025 and is likely renewed pending satisfactory performance and sufficient funding. The review will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
