The National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for a Research Fellow position in the Selective Separation for Sustainable Environmental Application (S3EA) Lab. The successful applicant will work with Prof Weiyi Pan from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
This position is part of an exciting research program advancing separation technologies (i.e., membrane and electrochemical) to solve pressing environmental challenges like carbon capture and the removal of emerging contaminants.
The Research Fellow is expected to:
- Conduct novel and impactful research.
- Assist in the design of and lead experimental activities within the S3EA Lab at NUS.
- Disseminate research findings through publications in high-quality journals and presentations at international conferences.
- Support the supervision and mentoring of graduate students.
- Contribute to proposal writing, teaching, and outreach activities.
Job Requirements
- Possess a PhD in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or a closely related field.
- Has a strong portfolio of research and publications related to selective separation technologies.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong writing, critical thinking, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience in Machine Learning is a significant advantage.
Appointment Details
- Start Date: Immediately available.
- Duration: One-year appointment with potential for renewal based on performance and funding.
- Salary: Commensurate with experience, following NUS guidelines.
