Dr. Ramesh Goel’s research group at the University of Utah is seeking to recruit multiple PhD students in environmental engineering and environmental microbiology. Successful candidates will conduct research in innovative process engineering related to nutrient management in municipal wastewater, molecular-level mechanisms of harmful algal blooms, and bioinformatics based on genomic data. Students expecting to complete a B.S. (in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Biotechnology) or an M.S. (in Environmental Engineering or a related field) in summer 2026 are especially encouraged to apply.
