We are seeking a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to join our UNC Superfund Research Program. The successful candidate will conduct molecular dynamics (MD) simulations to investigate molecular-level transport processes in reverse osmosis (RO) polyamide membranes, with the goal of connecting molecular-scale behavior to macroscopic membrane properties. This work bridges fundamental membrane science and next-generation membrane design.

Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, computational chemistry, materials science, physics, or a related field, along with programming experience (Python, C, C++, or similar). Preferred qualifications include experience with MD or atomistic simulations, HPC environments, and polymer chemistry.
