A postdoctoral research fellow position is available in the Environmental Engineering Laboratory at Kyung Hee University. We invite applications from outstanding candidates with a PhD in environmental, chemical, biological, or materials engineering, or in a closely related field.
The successful candidate will conduct research in broad areas of environmental engineering and science. Applicants with a strong record of peer-reviewed publications, evidence of creativity, initiative, and collaboration are especially encouraged to apply.
Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, including spoken and written English, and should be highly motivated, independent, and self-directed. Candidates with expertise in areas such as chemistry, materials science (e.g., adsorbents), nano-technology, microbiology/biotechnology, bioinformatics (e.g., metagenomics), AI-based modeling, and/or life cycle assessment are welcome. Applicants with strong research accomplishments in other areas will also be given full consideration.
The initial appointment is for one year and will be extended for many years based on satisfactory performance, with the possibility of promotion to a Research Professorship. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience, in accordance with university guidelines. The position is available immediately and will remain open until filled.
