Postdoctoral research position at Temple University (Philadelphia, PA)
We have two postdoctoral research positions available in the Water and Environmental Technology (WET) Center, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Temple University.
Applicants should be enthusiastic and highly motivated, have a Ph.D. in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, material science or a related field, strong publication record, and strong communication skills. Experience working with water treatment of PFAS and other chemicals of emerging concern (CECs) is desired. Other areas of interest are risk assessment, antimicrobial resistance genes, microplastics, alternative chemicals for environmental sustainability.
The projects focus on water treatment dealing with PFAS and other CECs; and assessments of risk and sustainable alternative chemicals. The candidate will work with other postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students in the WET Center – an Industry/University Cooperative Research Center. The initial appointment will be for one year, and may be renewed upon satisfactory progress and availability of funds. The positions are available starting June 1, 2026.
