The Sustainable Environmental Membrane Technology (SEMT) lab in the Department of Environmental Engineering, Program of Environmental and Polymer Engineering at INHA University is seeking two highly motivated Ph.D students or combined M.S/Ph.D. students who can start from Fall semester 2022. The Ph.D students will be involved in research project supported by Korea Research Foundation focusing on developing anaerobic membrane bioreactor for domestic sewage treatment and resource recovery. Specific goals of this project are to (1) develop conductive membrane with electrochemical characterizations (2) conduct quantitative analysis of membrane fouling through the conductive membrane under electrical field and anaerobic environment, (3) understand dominant fouling mechanisms and (4) perform comparative study by operating electrochemical anaerobic membrane bioreactors. Candidates are preferred to have a B.S or M.S in Environmental Engineering or related field and application review starts immediately until the positions are filled.
