The Moor research group at the Utah Water Research Laboratory is recruiting graduate students to join a recently funded NSF project on wildfire-generated organic compounds and their photochemistry in surface waters. Prospective M.S. and Ph.D students interested in environmental chemistry, laser spectroscopy, and wildfire science should apply.
Applicants are sought with backgrounds in environmental engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, or other related fields. Candidates with research experience in photochemistry are especially encouraged to apply.
Anticipated start dates are:
Spring 2027 for the Ph.D. student position
Fall 2027 for the M.S. student position
