The PhD RA student will work one of the projects below:
(1) Interfacially Engineered Membranes for Simultaneous Microwave Catalysis and Liquid Filtration with funding support from US Bureau of Water Reclamation and the US National Science Foundation (NSF).
(2) Colloidal chemistry and applications of nanobubble technologies funded by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
(3) Electrochemically reactive water disinfection process funded by the US National Science Foundation (NSF).
(4) Induction heating-enabled membrane distillation funded bythe US Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) and EPA.
The candidate should have research experiences in environmental or chemical engineering, material and colloidal science. Most importantly, a record of high-quality publications, competent writing skill and critical thinking are considered critical. The position is available immediately in the fall 2022 or January 2023. The appointment will begin as soon as the student can arrive at NJIT for immediate research work, which will be compensated. Student applicants with a M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related fields are encouraged to apply.
