Penn State Behrend has an immediate opening for a one-year Post-Doctoral Scholar- Research Associate appointment with the potential for continuation, depending on the availability of funding. The successful candidate will have a strong background in life cycle analysis and/or techno-economic analysis and familiarity in plastics. Experience in industrial ecology, programming, and/or model development are also desired.

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science and Engineering, Bioengineering or related fields by appointment date.

The post-doctoral scholar will be responsible for evaluating a variety of different supply chain systems using life cycle analysis and/or technoeconomic analysis. The position encourages engagement with industry partners for development of projects and additional funding opportunities. 

The researcher will join a highly productive, dynamic research group consisting of faculty, post-docs, graduate students, and undergraduates. The researcher will have opportunities to collaborate with an interdisciplinary group of scholars across the Penn State University system.
